The idiot proof diet is a strictly diet handbook that claims that they can help you lose 9 pounds every 11 days. Not just the 1st 11 days but EVERY 11 days. Is it truly possible? Does the weight loss diet handbook truly work?
I was definitely skeptical when I first heard about it from my brother.
However, after looking for such a long time for a weight loss diet that will work without having to starve myself to death, I decided to go ahead and buy. The diet handbook consists of a 11 day diet cycle that you can keep repeating (with different food) and keep losing the pounds. So now, after the first cycle of the idiot proof diet, here is my idiot proof diet reviews.
Did the weight loss diet handbook work? Did I Manage to Lose 9 Pounds?
I didn’t lose the exact 9 pounds mentioned but it was pretty close. I was lossing 8.Three pounds through the very first round of the weight loss diet. And impressively, I saw results of the diet on the very first week.
The diet handbook is really easy to follow as there isn’t any complicated rules or procedures. Plus, besides that that I paid for the weight loss guide book, there wasn’t other programs that I had to purchase besides that.
The food on the diet is easily found and best of all, I could find food that don’t need much cooking so I could get my meal ready in less than 5 minutes.
Diet…Do I need to Starve Myself?
Whenever I spoke to my friends about my new found weight loss diet, they would start questioning me if there was a need to starve ourselves and how impossibly unattainable that would be.
However in this particular diet, there isn’t any need to starve. And…you will be able to eat 4 meals a day! Yes, just my eating more meals per day, your body will be kept constantly working on the food eaten. This increases the metabolism rate in your body, thereby helping you burn more calories than before.
Next, it will be follows by the next question…which are the types of food we had to shun?
You definitely can’t be wolfing down deep fried chicken wings each and everyday and still think that you can lose weight. But you will still be able to eat your favourite food before the second cycle of the idiot proof diet. I will get to that in awhile.
Now, you will still be able to eat your carbohydrates like pastas. You will get to eat your meat (which is something I can’t live without), your cheese and eggs, and of course, fruits and vegetables. This diet makes sure that you get to lose weight without affecting your nutrition intake. Hence, there is no need to worry about the risk of fainting in the streets in midst of your diet.
Alright..Here’s the Exciting Part
You know how you can never stay on one diet for too long? In the end, you will be craving for food that you can’t have. Yes, it is a fact that what you cannot have simply makes it more desirable.
I’ve been on so many diets and failed so many times simple because I would try to last as long as I can without certain food or following certain diet. But after a month or so, I would usually give up on the diet as the results don’t come fast enough and it is just way too much sacrifice for a diet that barely works!
This is really where the diet gets awesome. After the very first cycle of the weight loss diet, you will get a 3 day cheat from the diet. In the 3 days of cheat, you will be able to indulge in ANYTHING you want. I’m currently taking the break now and I’m absolutely enjoying myself!
Will I End Up Putting Back My Weight During the 3 Days Break From the Diet?
If you had followed the diet guide well, your body will already be attuned to burning more calories than you normally do so no matter what you eat, it is burning lots of calories off your body.
Plus, during the 3 days of cheat during the diet, though I did eat some food than I shouldn’t have but I actually craved for fruits. Perhaps it was a new habit from the 11 days of diet. Besides that, I don’t seem to have the appetite to eat too much due to the habit of eating 4 times a day.
My close circle of friends got onto the diet with me and it worked great for all of us. We didn’t end up bingeing on every unhealthy food we could find as we didn’t had to starve while on the diet. We did eat till we were satisfied and when the break came, it just allowed us to indulge in the food we love so that we wouldn’t end up bingeing on them like what people normally do at the end of a long diet.
So, the 3 days cheat is a fantastic idea…especially so for someone like me. I do not have much discipline in me and I can’t help but cheat in all my diet.
This is the first diet that I could go through without the urge to cheat. I was able to sail through the idiot proof diet and lost weight without much effort!

One reason why I didn’t have to cheat was the fact that they didn’t have strict rules like you can only eat this or that today. The diet gives you a lot of flexibility, allowing you to make your choice based on your preference.
Plus….you are even allowed to indulge in night snacks!
Yes! I was completely elated when I saw that. I am a person who always stay up late and normal diets always have me growling in hunger at night. I would be so hungry that I can’t even sleep well. And normally, I would end up so hungry that I would wolf down whatever I could find in the fridge, eating more than I should have.
And…You will get to drink even wine!
I’m sorry if you think that you’ll be allowed to down bottles of beer down your throat per day. You will be able to enjoy your drinks, but not too much. Having a glass of wine each day is fine.
